DATUV 003 | Fractal Glider – Zactoglider
Fractal Glider is Paul McCosh from Melbourne, Australia. Paul has a rich history as an electronic producer and his first productions in the goa trance style date from 1995. He was first published by the legendary Green Ant label a bit later, in 1998, however, he was very prolific in those early years and in fact, many of the tracks he composed before the year 2000 had remained unreleased.
A few years back Federico from DAT Records approached Paul, initially asking about the music that Paul made in the 1990’s, as Federico spotted some seemingly unreleased tracks by Paul on some DAT tapes that he ripped. Paul not only confirmed the authenticity of the tracks but also revealed that there were many more tracks in his archives and decided to share them with the label. The music was really great, original, psychedelic, and very well-produced. It was crystal clear that this music had to be arranged in a way to be presented to the world, so one thing led to another and the result is this release you are holding in your hands.
DAT Universe is proud to announce the imminent release of the double album “Zactoglider”, titled after a marvellous track that will be included in this double CD.

DATUV 002 | Infinite Zen – Goa Generator
Infinite Zen album has been a project in the works for many years and this release is a dream come true.
A long time has passed since the truth was revealed about this talented producer from Greece. Some of his tracks were traded among DAT circles and misnamed on purpose as they were so good that people would believe that some very famous producers had made them. But the truth is that behind those swirling psychedelic melodic patterns the hand of a single producer was hiding, Nikolaos, hailing from Greece.
We are so proud to finally launch this release that was supposed to be an EP but transformed into a real album as more music was unveiled from secret stashes of DAT tapes. We are really happy to finally celebrate the music of Infinite Zen with you all, hoping that you will be able to dance to those memorable and classic Goa productions for years to come. We continue with our mission to preserve the best creations from the heydays of the Goa Trance scene, the magical 90s, years in which all the tracks contained in this release were produced.
The booklet features an equipment list courtesy of the artist and some background information, as we like to share with you what the artist told us, and for the occasion, he even contributed actively to the creation of the artwork with his beautiful photographs. Enjoy

DATUV 001 | Total Eclipse – Live in Bordeaux 1997
DAT Universe is pleased to expand on a release that showcases one of the most foundational and unique projects in the global Goa scene: Total Eclipse.
This fabled band has been active since before the term ‘Goa Trance’ came into use and has been an innovative influence on the evolution of this musical language. In their halcyon years in the 90s, the trio of French musicians produced an unparalleled volume and variety of music that embodied the incredible versatility, creativity, and expansiveness that was the heart of the scene, from growling cyber-rock stormers and energising psychedelic numbers to playfully quirky productions and ethereal morning music. Regardless of the flavour of a given work, each was masterfully crafted, with impeccably balanced harmonic, rhythmic, and melodic elements.
No band created as much music with this much variety, including the volume of both released and unreleased productions – something that this DAT Universe release will reveal as some long-secret tracks are made available for the first time.
The 3-CD set ‘Live in Bordeaux’ features both live and studio productions in an array of styles that showcase the project’s astounding originality. The first disc centres around a superb 1997 live set that captures the incredible energy that the dynamic trio brought to their live gigs, a performance supplemented by three more numbers from another thrilling live appearance. The second disc features a selection of unreleased tracks by these innovative musicians, both alternate mixes of well-known classics as well as original compositions. The final disc is a fascinating exploration of the trio’s early work as they were forging their unique sound signatures: in an array of tempos and styles, these early productions provide a glimpse into the evolution of this unique band’s distinctive music.
A stunning release that is sure to be prized by collectors and fans of the best psychedelic electronic music of the 1990s!

DAT Temple
DAT Temple is proud to announce its first release with Blue Planet Corporation. Our sub-label of DAT Universe focuses on downtempo productions, from the old times to the present days. This release is a double CD but as per the artist’s request, we won’t be sharing the digital files until Easter 2022 and we only offer samples of the first disc to motivate people to buy the disc and own it to have an immersive and unique experience.
Blue Planet Corporation is back with Aquaquest, his second album ever, more than 20 years after the acclaimed Blue Planet was released by Flying Rhino Records. Aquaquest is a project that has slowly matured over several years, as Gabriel Masurel felt the need for a potent backstory to drive his inspiration and music. His attraction to all things marine made it natural to anchor the narrative to the abyss, as he asked his friend Fabien Le Roy for the tale of an underwater journey.
Composed of 8 tracks echoing the 8 sonnets, the Aquaquest epic will take you through the depths of the unknown. Nations have disappeared on the blue planet in a distant future. Only walled-up megalopolises remain, vying with one another in a bid for survival and communicating only via the digital network. Around these fortified city clusters, huge? ghostzones? spread out, populated exclusively by the tired, the poor, and the huddled masses. A new society has managed to arise in a blessed no-man’s land, at a unique natural site that can only be accessed through a secret network of underwater caves.

Here are the compilations we have produced for them.
ZNA The Retro-Futuristic Compilation Vol. IV
DAT Universe is proud to present the fourth chapter of the ZNA Gathering: The Retro-Futuristic Compilation.
Once again, resident DAT archivists Draeke and Solitare have teamed up with the festival and some of the legendary musicians performing at this year’s edition to gather rare tracks for an exclusive commemorative CD production.
We open with the first track produced in 1992 by the iconic producer Doof, who is making his first appearance in many years at the 2024 edition of ZNA. ‘Touch My Heart’ is his earliest production, showing many of the elements that would characterize this beloved artist’s iconic music and whose title speaks to how we all feel about his legendary output.
Next, we have Psychaos, with a fantastic never-before-available Trioptical Delusion Dub mix of his classic head-bending Intellect. Iain Rive’s brilliant collaborative project Semsis makes an appearance with a rare alternate mix of their hit track Planet, while Nervasystem tweaks synapses and neurons with his massive unreleased stormer Neurosurgery.
Cydonia’s patented blend of uplifting nighttime music is showcased in an alternate mix of their landmark track Mind Hunter, while French master Virtuart delivers a magical blaster with La Danse du Chapeau Noir. The legendary project KoxBox is featured in a never-before-issued live mix of their classic Fuel On, with a radically different atmosphere from all previously available versions.
Rounding up the compilation are the beloved Chi-AD with an uplifting lyrical number Love & Light followed by Fractal Glider closing the story with a slower but equally celebratory track called Sacred Sirius.
This compilation was available first for those attending the festival and is now available on CD and as a digital download after its exclusive premiere at the ZNA Gathering 2024.

ZNA The Retro-Futuristic Compilation Vol. III
We are proud to present the third chapter of the ZNA Gathering: The Retro-Futuristic Compilation.
Once again, resident DAT archivists Draeke and Solitare have reached far and beyond to include some incredible tracks graciously shared by artists who are performing at this year’s festival.
We open with a tribute to the legendary Olli Wisdom, who left the earthly plane last year and had been scheduled to give a rare retro appearance at ZNA. One of the most influential figures in the scene since its early years, he leaves behind an enormous legacy and we are delighted to share one of his earliest tracks, the never-before-published 1992 track Multiple Arms & Legs – a mover and groover that will be particularly evocative to those who danced in the early 90s.
All of the tracks on this compilation have never been available before, in some cases forgotten by the artists, while others were waiting for the right occasion to be publicly shared. We feature a phenomenal early mix of Man With No Name’s Deep Troubles in Outer Space – so rare that he no longer possessed it himself, and the only located source being damaged and undergoing significant repair by engineer Colin Young. Next is an early track by Cydonia, the amazing Brilliant Pink, after which Nervasystem probes deeply as always in his epic Nervacenter, before the rare collaboration of Laughing Buddha & Purple entitled Toasted, a 1998 production dedicated to their friend DJ Toast of Twisted Records.
Mindfield offers us a vivacious 1995 live mix of their classic Green Worm, followed by the legendary Psychaos with a live jam mix of his superb Solid Bubbles collaboration with Space Cat. Gus Till moves into groovy territory with his sleek and sophisticated Bus track Natural Substance, while Spies offers us the deep and powerful number Locked In Syndrome before RA brings us gently back to Earth with their beautiful ambient mix of Unseen Sky.
Mastered by Monbaza of Blue Moon Productions, this compilation is a full-frequency journey through a range of styles in the 90s that showcases how diverse and rich our genre was at the time, charting a course through technological advancements, stylistic atmospheres, and changes in production techniques. You can sit back and enjoy this selection for months and years to come, as a memory both of this year’s edition and the richness of our scene’s musical heritage.
We are delighted that this compilation will be available first for those attending the festival, so when you’re on-site at the gathering this year, keep your eyes and ears open so that you can be sure to get your copy of the limited edition production. The collection will then be available on CD and as a digital download on Bandcamp and at your usual stores after its exclusive premiere at the ZNA Gathering 2022.
